"WARSFOLK" 2005
On 16 – 20 July 2005, Warsaw was the host of the 1st International Folk Festival "WARSFOLK" 2005.
About 290 artists from 8 ensembles representing 6 countries participated in the 1st festival (see the list of ensembles). 6 concerts were organized as part of the festival grouping a total of about 4,500 spectators.
The festival events were announced by the colourful parade of participants on 15 July 2005, a dancing and singing procession along the Nowy ¦wiat street.
It was a time of enjoyment and an opportunity to make new friends for festival participants, Warsaw was the host of an artistic event the capital had not seen before.
