The Community Centre was established in 1937. By the time of the occupation it constituted the location of the Central Welfare Council engaged in charity activities and help offering to Koło’s residents.
From the very beginning of our existence, we actively try to create the cultural life in Wola Borough. We are in possession of widely expanded network of institutions offering such unique activities as artistic weaving, dance, art, theatre, and music sections, and possibilities of using the internet café located in our Centre. Apart from the offers intended for children and adolescents, we have also some propositions for adults (e.g. in Wola artistic workshop).
We work also in the field of culture animation for seniors – Golden Age Club and Third Century University represent only a part of the propositions we prepared specially for the elder people. Beside the regular meetings in the Centre, there are also organized many occasional parties. For instance, we are the hosts of the Sowiński Park Amphitheatre, on the scene of which many spring – and summertime numerous cultural parties take place – one of those is International Folk Festival "WARSFOLK" (MFF "WARSFOLK").
Polish Academic Folk Association "PASF" assembles folkloristicgroups from many academic centres in Poland. They appear for more than 50 years on the stages of Poland, Europe and many continents, presenting the high artistic level, great variety of colorful, folk and national dresses and the diversity of dynamic dances in the beautiful musical setting. Our groups take part in:
They belong to the first ranks of Polish Folkloristic Groups and they are the prize–winners of many rewards, distinctions and awards of the state and international dignity. "PASF" is open for cooperation with folkloristic groups and organizations, youth organizations and festival directions.
