The dance group "NAIRI" was funded in 1975 and - from that time on - has been continuously developing and changing its generation, who perform to this day. The age of the dancers starts from 15 years old. The repertoire of this dance group consists of traditional and national Armenian dances as well as folk dances, including specific elements from the region of Nairi and other regions of Armenia.
This country and its inhabitants are notable for their specific culture, hospitality, warmth and passion for art. The music group who accompanies the ensemble during their performances uses national Armenian instruments, such as zurna, dhol, duduk, qamancha,etc.
The dancers’ costumes are designed and made according to typical Armenian ornamentation; they are very original and unique. The group has taken part in a large number of international festivals, for example in Greece, Spain, England, Hungary or France, and has achieved great successes.
